Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable, passionate and organized individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant at Beaufort Care Home – Burnham on Sea.

Responsibilities

  • Support the chef to create healthy and balanced meals and snacks.
  • Ensure a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, with good hygiene and compliance with COSHH and health and safety protocols.
  • Work as a team player and be able to work independently when needed, managing time effectively.
  • Offer support, communication and engagement to residents.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as delegated by the chef.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety and COSHH.
  • Ability to work flexible shift patterns.
  • Self‑motivated, caring and enthusiastic with empathy for residents.
