What is required from you?
- Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
- Management qualification at QCF level 4 or equivalent, or willingness to obtain it.
- QCF level 4 or higher in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Previous registration in a home care service preferable.
- Demonstrable up to‑date knowledge of the care sector, including running a home care service and regulatory framework.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Experience working with vulnerable client groups.
Day in the life of a Registered Manager
- Lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive and effective service for clients.
- Ensure delivery of the highest possible care standards, fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations, while achieving operational and quality assurance KPIs.
- Ensure clients understand the care and treatment choices available and promote choice, dignity and individuality.
- Review existing care provision to ensure it meets current physical and mental health needs of clients; liaise with clients, staff, health professionals, social workers and other interested parties to adapt care plans.
- Conduct auditing to understand quality of service; take quick reparative action if concerns arise.
- Implement effective risk assessments to protect client needs.
- Induct new staff and ensure existing staff are trained, motivated, supervised and supported.
- Carry out disciplinary or formative action against team members when required.
- Staff the service effectively to cover client care calls; maintain contingency plans for unexpected absences or events.
- Investigate complaints concerning safeguarding, abuse or service delivery; ensure notifications and duty of candour are sent to appropriate parties.
