Where you’ll be working: Care Home in Bournemouth • Blenheim | Agincare

What is required:

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
  • Management qualification at QCF level 4 or equivalent or a willingness to work towards it
  • Previous registration in a residential service preferable
  • Demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of the care sector including running a care home and regulatory framework
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Experience of working with vulnerable client groups
  • Must be available to work 42 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive and effective service for residents in your care home, ensuring delivery of the highest possible care standards fully compliant with all CQC statutory regulations, while achieving operational and quality assurance KPIs
  • Ensure all residents understand care and treatment choices and that care is provided in a way that promotes choice, dignity and individuality
  • Review existing care provision to meet current physical and mental health needs; liaise with residents, internal staff, health professionals, social workers and other parties to adapt plans
  • Carry out audits to understand quality of service and take quick reparative action if concerns arise
  • Ensure effective risk assessments are in place to protect residents and overall home safety
  • Induct new staff and ensure existing staff are regularly trained, motivated, supervised and supported
  • Carry out disciplinary or formative actions against team members when required
  • Staff the home effectively and maintain contingency plans for unexpected absence or events
  • Investigate complaints regarding safeguarding, abuse, or service delivery; ensure notifications and duty of candour are sent to the right parties
