The role of a Head chef with Agincare is more than just cooking.
You will be working with our team to provide a high quality of life for those that need it.
This part‑time position is 16 hours per week, working 2 days a week including alternate weekends and covering any sickness or holiday.
The minimum required is a valid right to work of 12 months.
What is required from you?
- Background within kitchens and understanding how to run a professional kitchen.
- Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable.
- A day in the life of a Cook
- Menu planning – collaborating with the home manager and residents’ requests to develop and implement menu ideas, including themed days and events.
- Understanding dietary needs – working closely with wider staff to meet residents’ specific nutritional and dietary needs including modified food textures and allergies.
- Kitchen management – acting as the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for day‑to‑day running of stock management and hygiene standards.
