  • Pay: £13.25 per hour
  • Hours: 42 hours per week working from 8pm to 8am on a two weekly rolling rota to include alternative weekends

Bosworth Care Home has been part of the Weymouth community since 1988. Recently under new management and with lots of investment, our home has never looked better. The Role

  • Person-centred care: You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence.
  • Review: You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
  • Medication: You will administer residents' medication in a safe, supportive and compliant way.
  • Social Activity: You will lead in and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
  • Leadership: You may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called upon to lead the home where more senior managers are not available.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK.
  • Shift pattern: 42 hours per week working from 8pm to 8am on a two weekly rolling rota to include alternative weekends.
  • Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, and achieved or working towards NVQ level 3 (or equivalent).
  • At least two years' experience working in a social care environment - preferably with vulnerable people over 65.
  • Good demonstrable knowledge and experience of dementia.
  • Excellent communication skills and a real ability to show empathy to people under your care.
