What is required from you?

  • A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
  • A background within kitchens and understanding of how to run a professional kitchen
  • Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable.
  • Available to work 18 hours (2 days a week)

A day in the life of a Cook:

  • Menu planning: Collaborating with the home manager and our residents' requests and wishes, you will be able to develop and implement menu ideas. Our homes are always having themed days and events where you can showcase your skills and creativity.
  • Understanding dietary needs: You will work closely with the wider staff to ensure we are meeting our residents' specific nutritional and dietary needs including modified food textures and allergies.
  • Kitchen Management: You will be the main point of contact for the kitchen and responsible for the day to day running of stock management and hygiene standards.
