What is required from you?
- A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK
Opportunities available:
- Kitchen Assistant @ 30 hours per week
- Bank Kitchen Assistant
- Working 10 hours shifts per week from either 7.30am to 5.30pm or from 9am to 7pm to include alternative weekends
Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant is required for this role.
A day in the life of a Kitchen Assistant:
- Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a good understanding of various dietary requirements and allergens.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols.
- Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time.
- Offer support, communication and engagement to the residents.
About You:
You don’t have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We’d like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to show empathy to the needs of others.
