What is required from you?
- A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
- Full UK Manual Drivers Licence and access to your own vehicle
- Part time role working 28 hours per week to include alternative weekends
- Previous experience required in organising activities or in an activities type role
A day in the life of an Activities Coordinator includes:
- Companionship - providing support, companionship, communication and engagement with residents
- Creating activities - you will be in charge of designing an engaging activities plan both internally and with external resources
- Event planning - our Activities Coordinators are involved with planning events such as summer BBQs or Christmas parties for our residents
- Resident interaction - you will always be in conversation with residents to see which activities they want to do and bringing them to fruition
- External communications - as an Activities Coordinator you will be speaking with external entertainers or businesses to organise visits from entertainers or arranging for visits to businesses for the residents
- Mobility - supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility through activities such as Zumba or ballroom or even things like balloon tennis
- Social activities - trips out, social engagements and activities within the home for all abilities
