What is required from you?
- A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
- 18 hours per week
A day in the life of an Activities Coordinator includes:
- Companionship - providing support, companionship, communication and engagement with residents.
- Creating activities - you will be in charge of designing an engaging activities plan both internally and with external resources.
- Event planning - involved with planning events such as summer BBQs or Christmas parties for our residents.
- Resident interaction - always in conversation with residents to see which activities they want to do and bringing them to fruition.
- External communications - speaking with external entertainers or businesses to organise visits from entertainers or arranging for visits to businesses for the residents.
- Mobility - supporting the client to live as independently as possible with their mobility through activities such as Zumba or ballroom or even things like balloon tennis.
- Social activities - trips out, social engagements and activities within the home for all abilities.
