- NVQ Level 2 - Health and Social Care qualification
- NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards
This position works 30 hours per week: a mixture of 6 and 12 hour shifts. Required to work alternate weekends.
A day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant:
- Person‑centred care – you will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence.
- Review – you will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs.
- Medication – you will administer residents' medication in a safe, supportive and compliant way.
- Social Activity – you will lead and participate in trips out, social engagements and activities within the home.
- Leadership – you may support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, and may be called up to lead the home when more senior managers are not available.
