Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals and deliver positive person-centred outcomes for people with complex support needs who rely on our services? You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.

Where you’ll be working: This is a unique service within Wiltshire offering supported living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community. This role involves supporting an individual who may present behaviours that can challenge, often linked to communication needs, learning disabilities, autism, or mental health conditions. The focus is on delivering person-centred, proactive support that promotes independence, safety, and emotional wellbeing.

We are looking for experienced support workers to support individuals with complex behaviours, or a strong willingness to develop in this area. A calm, resilient, and patient approach, with the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills, including non-verbal and alternative communication methods and commitment to safeguarding, dignity, and person-centred care.

What is required from you? A minimum of 12 months on your right to work.

  • Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
  • Communicating - effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods.
  • Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life.
  • Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
  • Recording - keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
  • Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
