Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term Contract

My client is seeking a proactive and hands-on Interim Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month contract working for a well-known organisation in the leisure industry. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across all aspects of a busy finance function while playing a key role in supporting an upcoming finance system implementation. Working closely with the Finance Controller, the Interim Accountant will provide support across management accounting, transactional finance and data migration activities, ensuring business continuity during a period of change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Support month-end processes including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide cover and support across purchase ledger, sales ledger and cash management activities.
  • Assist with financial reporting and analysis as required.
  • Support the cleansing, validation and transfer of financial data for a new system implementation.
  • Help identify and improve finance processes and controls.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to ensure a smooth transition to the new finance system.

About You

  • Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • Comfortable supporting transactional finance processes when required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong Excel skills.
  • Experience supporting finance system implementations or data migration projects would be advantageous.
