The role

  • Take ownership of the month-end close and associated journals
  • Prepare and manage weekly and monthly profit and loss statements
  • Manage the sales ledger, invoice queries, credit control and intercompany billing
  • Oversee inventory reconciliations and review stock-count results
  • Analyse financial performance and recommend process improvements
  • Partner with production teams to identify cost savings and operational efficiencies
  • Develop labour standards for new production items and review existing bills of materials
  • Support strategic financial planning and wider business-improvement projects

About you

  • Experienced in management accounting, financial reporting and analysis
  • Ideally studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
  • Manufacturing accounting experience would be a strong advantage
  • Commercially aware, analytical and confident working with operational teams
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE and tax compliance
