Job Description Job : Accounts Manager My client, based in Carlisle, is looking to appoint an Accounts Manager to join their finance team. This is a varied and hands-on position supporting both their commercial and manufacturing businesses, with responsibility for leading the transactional finance function and ensuring processes run efficiently and accurately. As Accounts Manager you will lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, managing a small team while working closely with the Finance Director on cash management, forecasting and financial reporting. Manage and support two direct reports: Accounts Payable Assistant and Credit Control Assistant Manage the credit control function, actively reducing aged debt and improving cash collection Complete and oversee daily and monthly bank reconciliations Support cash flow management and cash forecasting Assist with the month-end process, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations Maintain strong financial controls and accurate accounting records Support overseas payroll settlements and expense processing Provide day-to-day support to the Finance Director across a range of financial and commercial activities Take ownership of ad hoc finance projects and reporting as required This role would suit an experienced Accounts Supervisor, Senior Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or transactional finance professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. 3β5 years' experience within Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or transactional finance ~ AAT qualified or equivalent would be advantageous ~ Strong Excel and IT skills ~ Good understanding of transactional finance, reconciliations and cash management ~ A proactive approach to process improvement and financial controls Apply today for immediate consideration
