A growing and successful manufacturing business in Bradford is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CIMA Accountant who enjoys combining strong financial control with commercial insight in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Finance Manager will report directly to an established Financial Controller and take ownership of the finance function, lead a small team and play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key responsibilities as Finance Manager:
- Production of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Monitoring manufacturing costs, margins and operational performance
- Developing and enhancing financial reporting and KPI analysis
- Supporting senior management with commercial and strategic decision-making
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls
- Leading and developing a finance team of four
- Managing the year-end audit process and acting as the key point of contact for external auditors
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
The successful Finance Manager will ideally possess:
- CIMA qualification (or equivalent ACCA/ACA)
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
- Strong management accounting and financial control experience
- Experience managing and developing finance staff
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ERP and Excel skills
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
