An excellent opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and growing Chartered Accountancy practice based in Preston. This position would suit an experienced Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper looking to develop within a professional and supportive environment, gaining exposure across a varied portfolio of clients and industries.
The successful Accounts Assistant will support the preparation of management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT returns, reconciliations, and general finance administration, whilst working closely with senior accountants and managers.
Key Responsibilities- Bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance
- Assisting with management accounts preparation
- Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting
- Liaising with clients regarding financial information and queries
- Maintaining accurate accounting records and financial data
Previous experience within a bookkeeping or Accounts Assistant role. Experience working within an accountancy practice would be advantageous.
