A growing and successful manufacturing business in Bradford is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CIMA Accountant who enjoys combining strong financial control with commercial insight in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to senior management, you will take ownership of the finance function, lead a small team and play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the business.

  • Production of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
  • Monitoring manufacturing costs, margins and operational performance
  • Developing and enhancing financial reporting and KPI analysis
  • Supporting senior management with commercial and strategic decision-making
  • Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls
  • Leading and developing a finance team of four
  • Managing the year-end audit process and acting as the key point of contact for external auditors
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • CIMA qualification (or equivalent ACCA/ACA)
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment
  • Strong management accounting and financial control experience
  • Experience managing and developing finance staff
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ERP and Excel skills
  • The ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
