A local family run business based in North Blackpool are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the team on a 3 day a week basis. This is a great opportunity to join the company as they enter their next growth phase and enter into a period of change. As the Finance Manager you will report directly into the MD and provide insightful financial information for the business.

Your duties as Finance Manager will include:

  • Management and ownership of the month-end closure
  • Preparation and ownership of weekly/monthly P&L statements, including adjustments reconciliation
  • Management of inventory reconciliation processes and stock count reviews
  • Detailed financial analysis with the ability to recommend process improvements
  • Regular consultation with production teams to identify efficiency opportunities
  • Development of labour standards for new production items and review of existing BOMs for accuracy
  • Completion of the month-end journals relating to production and associated costs

Candidate Requirements

  • Professional qualification: Actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (desirable)
  • Experience in manufacturing accounting environments would be an advantage
  • Hands-on approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE, and tax compliance
  • Strong analytical abilities with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
