Management Accountant – Kendal

Are you a detail-driven and proactive Management Accountant ready to take the next step in your career? Do you want to be part of a respected Manufacturer based in the busy town of Kendal who are looking for a talented Management Accountant to join a friendly, dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a business that values integrity, teamwork, and long-term development.

What You\’ll Be Doing:

  • Produce weekly / monthly P&L with ownership of COGS adjustments reconciliatio
  • Labour recovery variances, Stock movements with presentation and appropriate supporting analysis
  • Sales & COGS reconciliation
  • Inventory Reconciliation, including stock count reviews
  • Stock Gains & Losses analysis with ability to challenge the business on process improvements
  • Weekly OEE updates and review with production to find areas for improvement
  • Setting up of labour standards for new production items as well as reviewing existing ones to ensure BOMS accuracy
  • Month end journals relating to production and other (labour, gases, engineering stock, overheads, storage and carriage)
  • Customer rebates – month end journals, validation of submissions and online portal submissions

What We\’re Looking For:

  • Actively working towards ACCA, CIMA, or ACA is desirable.

Essential / Desirable Experience:

  • Background in Manufacturing accounting, especially in time-based service delivery.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Solid understanding of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE, and tax compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
