Location: Oldham & Rochdale, Greater Manchester

Overview:
We\’re working with a well-established and growing business in the Oldham & Rochdale area to recruit a skilled and motivated Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a part or fully qualified accountant to join a collaborative team where you\’ll play a key role in supporting financial planning and commercial performance.
The Role:
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys both the technical and commercial sides of finance. Reporting into the Finance Manager or Financial Controller, you\’ll be responsible for producing timely, accurate financial information and providing insight to help shape strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting analysis
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Month-end processes, including journals and reconciliations
- Monitoring cash flow and supporting cash forecasting
- Business partnering with operational teams to drive performance
- Supporting with year-end reporting and liaising with auditors
- Assisting in the development and implementation of improved processes
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
The Ideal Candidate:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part or fully qualified
- Previous experience in a management accounting or commercial finance role
- Strong understanding of management reporting and financial controls
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, SAP, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to drive improvements
