Junior Accountant

Are you looking for an entry level road into finance to start your Accounting career ? My client is a growing Accountancy Practice, based in Carlisle and are keen to grow their team with the addition of a Junior Accounts Assistant.

As Junior Accounts Assistant your duties will include :

– Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
– Input financial transactions into the accounting system.
– Update and maintain accounting records and files.
– Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payments.
– Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
– Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
– Generate financial reports as needed.

To be considered for this position the successful candidate will have :

• Relevant Degree (Maths, Economics, Business Studies) /A-Level or equivalent qualifications including GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English or with some equivalent accountancy qualification or experience
• IT proficient with MS Excel skills.
• A credible individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated and able to show initiative.

• Ability to work under pressure and cope with high and varied workloads.
• Accurate, strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
