My client in Manchester is looking for an Assistant Accountant to assist the current Financial Controller with the production of the monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Assist with process improvement projects, including the introduction of a PO system.
- Review spend in line with budgets.
- Assist with statutory reporting requirements, including VAT returns and year-end accounts.
- Assist the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects.
They are looking for someone who is capable of working unsupervised to meet deadlines, has a high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an excellent communicator (both verbal and written).
