We're working with a successful and long-standing business based in Bradford who are looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build on their existing finance experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
The Role: As an Accounts Assistant, you'll be involved in a range of day-to-day finance tasks to support the wider team. This role offers variety, exposure to different aspects of accounting, and the chance to grow within a well-established company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts
- Assisting with month-end procedures
- Maintaining accurate records and updating financial systems
- Handling general ledger entries and adjustments
- Supporting with VAT returns and other reporting as needed
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Studying AAT (or similar) would be an advantage, but not essential
