Founded in 1970, a specialist Technical Textiles company is recruiting for an all-round Accounts Assistant to join their small and busy office in Bury. This role is working in a team of 3 and covers all aspects of Credit Control, Purchase Ledger, Banking and supporting the Sales Ledger and Payroll functions. This role is offering up to £26,000pa dependent on experience.

What you will be doing:

  • Issuing and reconciling customer statements
  • Ensuring customers pay on time
  • Starting legal proceedings if clients do not pay their debts on time
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Making payments - sending remittances
  • Reconciling the bank
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Making payments - purchase invoices - payroll - miscellaneous expenses

About you:

  • Experience in Accounts Assistant role minimum 2 years
  • Strong basic Excel knowledge (sums, basic formulas)
  • Ability to work in the office full time
  • Experience working with multi-currency bank accounts (desirable)
