The role:
- Take ownership of the month-end close and associated journals
- Prepare and manage weekly and monthly profit and loss statements
- Manage the sales ledger, invoice queries and credit control
- Oversee inventory reconciliations and review stock-count results
- Analyse financial performance and recommend process improvements
- Partner with operational teams to identify cost savings and operational efficiencies
- Support strategic financial planning and wider business-improvement projects
About you:
- Experienced in Management Accountant, Finance Manager
- Ideally studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Manufacturing accounting experience would be a strong advantage
- Commercially aware, analytical and confident working with operational teams
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems
- Organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of deadlines
- Knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE and tax compliance
