I am looking for an Assistant Accountant to join an exciting ERP implementation project on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract which may well be extended.
This is a hands-on opportunity where you'll support the Finance Manager through a period of change, helping to bring the finance function up to date while also playing a key role in the implementation of a new ERP system.
The role will include:
- Working through and clearing a backlog of invoices
- Analysing existing financial data and identifying discrepancies
- Supporting with reconciliations and general finance duties
- Assisting the Finance Manager throughout the ERP implementation
- Reviewing and improving existing finance processes
- Helping ensure data is accurate and ready for migration
- Providing wider support to the finance team as required
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience within an Assistant Accountant / Finance Assistant role
- Good knowledge of SAGE
- Is confident working with financial data and reconciliations
- Has strong Excel skills and good attention to detail
- Is comfortable working through a backlog and meeting deadlines
- Can adapt quickly to new systems and processes
- Is proactive, organised and happy to get stuck in
