Agilite is the fastest-growing brand in the defense and tactical industry, developing innovative gear and technical apparel used by the world’s most elite military and law enforcement units operating on the front lines. Innovation is at the core of everything we do and our products consistently set the pace for the industry. We are building a team of driven innovators, builders and team players who want their work to matter. If you want to make a real impact, push the boundaries of what’s possible and help create best-in-class gear and apparel for those defending their country, community and home, come make an impact with us.

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Apparel Designer to lead the execution of our performance-driven collections. You will bridge the gap between creative design and mass production, ensuring every garment meets our rigorous standards for fit, durability, and athletic functionality. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of body mapping, textile compression, and advanced construction techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Development: Lead the creation of our performance wear collection, including tech packs, detailed construction, and Bill of Materials.
  • Fit Leadership: Analyze fit intent and provide clear, actionable feedback to overseas and domestic factories to achieve the perfect fit.
  • Gear & Apparel Integration: Partner directly with Gear Designers to develop 'Integrated Systems.' Ensure apparel features align perfectly with gear contact points to eliminate chafing, optimize access, and enhance load-carrying stability.
  • Systemic Fit Architecture: Develop fit blocks that account for layering systems—ensuring that base, mid, and outer layers work in harmony without restricting the range of motion when worn with technical equipment.
  • Innovation & R&D: Drive the use of smart construction, textile, and features to create new, innovative apparel.
  • Creative Technical Problem Solving: Act as a Design Engineer to find creative solutions for functional needs.
  • Wear Testing: Collaborate with the product testing team to analyze feedback from soldiers and integrate technical adjustments to improve garment longevity and comfort.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the technical point of contact for Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to ensure the apparel line aligns with both aesthetic goals and margin targets.
  • Problem Solver: You can troubleshoot complex construction hurdles under tight production timelines.
  • Design for Manufacturing: Collaborate with sourcing and production teams to ensure all creative and integrated gear concepts are optimized for development.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Experience: 7–10+ years in design, specifically within the performance, activewear, or compression markets.
  • Technical Savvy: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, experience in CLO 3D or Browzwear.
  • Material Knowledge: Expert knowledge of both synthetic polymers and performance naturals, deep technical understanding of chemical and physical treatments.
  • Education: Degree in Fashion Design.
