We are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a highly reputable business based in Chelmsford. This is a hands-on leadership role managing the finance team, whilst operating in a business partnering capacity across the wider business, but always maintaining financial control and compliance across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards i.e. VAT.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support business objectives.
- Manage a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
