We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to work for a successful and growing SME based in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional looking to make a real impact in supporting with financial reporting, controls, and the commercial performance of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and provide financial analysis.
- Support budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
- Monitor costs and drive efficiency improvements.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and fixed asset register.
- Manage VAT returns and indirect tax compliance.
- Oversee bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
- Support year-end close and statutory reporting.
Skills & Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified or qualified by experience – with relevant work experience.
- Experience in working within an SME environment.
- Strong knowledge of management accounts.
- Experience with cloud accounting systems.
