Agilis Search are supporting a high profile and expanding Colchester based organisation with the recruitment of an HR Advisor, specialising in employee relations.

You'll work closely with leaders, providing essential advice on employee relations issues.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Provide ER service via email, telephone, and MS Teams, delivering advice on ER matters.
  • Offer guidance on disciplinary investigations, performance issues, absence management, and flexible working.
  • Check and coach managers on letters and meeting notes.
  • Follow up on ER cases to ensure action completion.
  • Escalate high-risk cases to the appropriate ER Partner or ER Helpdesk Manager.
  • Review long-term absence reports quarterly.
  • Manage the ER Helpdesk email inbox.
  • Stay updated with employment legislation.
  • Support HR project work and general team administration.

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge of current employment legislation.
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience
  • Attention to detail, competence with HR systems, high-quality solutions.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic.
  • Team player who builds trust.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards it is desirable.
