Looking for a varied commercial role where no two days are the same? We’re working with a growing business in Colchester who are looking for a Commercial Assistant / Commercial Partnerships Executive to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, relationship management and keeping things running smoothly. You’ll work closely with the Commercial Partnerships Manager and a range of internal teams, helping to manage partners, contracts, suppliers and new business. You don't need to be an insurance expert! If you're organised, confident dealing with people and good at keeping on top of the detail, they'll teach you the rest.
What will you be doing? In simple terms, you'll be the person helping to make sure everything is in place and nothing gets missed. Your day could include:
- Supporting the management of existing commercial partners
- Helping to onboard new partners and contracts
- Chasing and collating paperwork and regulatory information
- Keeping contracts and records accurate and up to date
- Liaising with Finance, Claims, Underwriting and Operations
- Coordinating new business, contract changes and cancellations
- Responding to partner and supplier queries
- Preparing information and presentations for review and renewal meetings
- Updating internal systems and CRM records
- Working with third-party suppliers and service providers
- Reviewing data around claims, complaints and customer outcomes
- Helping identify issues and making sure they are followed up
- Supporting compliance and making sure processes and deadlines are followed
- Helping to improve processes and customer journeys
What kind of person are they looking for? We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys being the person who keeps everything on track. You’ll ideally have:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- Confidence speaking with colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
- The ability to manage several tasks and deadlines at once
- A proactive approach and the confidence to ask questions when something doesn't look right
What experience could work? You don't necessarily need to come from insurance. This could suit someone currently working as a: Commercial Assistant, Commercial Coordinator, Contracts Administrator, Account Coordinator, Business Support Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, Client Services Administrator, Sales Support, Insurance Administrator. Experience within insurance, financial services or another regulated environment would be useful, but isn't essential. An interest in working towards a CII qualification would also be welcomed.
