(Midlands Based: Remote with Occasional Travel)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with sourcing and onboarding devices from approved vendors
  • Help keep track of devices, versions, and delivery timelines
  • Support the team in evaluating new devices and updates
  • Help configure physical and virtual devices for development, QA, support, and demos
  • Support the maintenance of demo setups used by internal teams
  • Assist with ensuring devices are running supported software versions

Testing & Labs

  • Support the setup and maintenance of physical and virtual test labs
  • Help keep environments organised, available, and ready for use
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting of device and lab issues
  • Work closely with Engineering, QA, Product, and Support teams
  • Shadow senior team members during customer calls, demos, and investigations
  • Gradually take on more responsibility as your confidence and skills grow

Documentation & Standards

  • Help create and update technical documentation
  • Learn about industry standards and cybersecurity best practices (e.g. NIST, PCI)

What we’re looking for

  • A foundational understanding of IT, networking, devices, or systems (through education, training, or early career experience)
  • An interest in devices, hardware, networking, or cybersecurity
  • A willingness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback on board
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable working in a remote, Agile environment

Nice to have (but not essential)

  • Some hands-on experience with device setup, labs, or testing
  • Exposure to networking concepts (IP, VLANs, firewalls, etc.)
