We are recruiting an experienced Field Service Engineer with strong industrial battery and charger maintenance experience to support a growing customer base across Northern Ireland.

This is a home-based, mobile engineering role, working across warehouse and logistics environments. You will service and repair industrial battery systems, chargers, and associated electrical equipment, supporting operations ranging from single-truck sites to large distribution centres with fleets of 50–100 trucks.

Due to business growth and contract demand, this role requires engineers who are fully competent in charger maintenance from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned maintenance and servicing of industrial batteries and battery chargers
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding, testing, and repair
  • Onsite commissioning of battery and charger systems
  • Reactive breakdown response and scheduled service visits
  • Cleaning and maintaining batteries and chargers to agreed standards
  • Completing service reports, job sheets, and maintenance documentation
  • Supporting battery change operations at customer sites when required
  • Working in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental procedures

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, or Mobile Engineer
  • Strong background in industrial battery maintenance and charger repair
  • Good electrical and mechanical knowledge
  • Experience working in warehouse, logistics, or materials handling environments
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Experience with fork lift trucks (FLT) or materials handling equipment is advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
