Job Purpose
To support the recycling operation by safely dismantling photocopiers and printers, sorting and storing reusable components, and accurately logging parts using Excel spreadsheets. The role ensures materials are processed efficiently, responsibly, and in line with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Dismantle and strip down photocopiers, printers, and related office equipment for recycling or reuse.
- Identify, sort, and separate components such as metals, plastics, electronics, and reusable parts.
- Accurately log parts and materials into Excel spreadsheets, ensuring records are up to date.
- Label, store, and organise recycled parts in designated warehouse locations.
- Follow environmental, waste management, and recycling procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working area.
- Use hand tools and basic equipment safely and correctly.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including moving stock and loading/unloading where required.
- Report any faults, hazards, or damaged equipment to the supervisor.
