AgileSource are seeking an experienced Programme Planner ideally with a strong background in Rail Infrastructure to support a complex, high-profile transformation programme. The role will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and assuring integrated programme plans, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and delivery partners. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving planning excellence, supporting governance, and enabling informed decision-making across the programme lifecycle.

Contract - 9 Months - Inside IR35 £450 - P/D - 3 Days P/W On-site - London

You Will:

  • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules across multiple workstreams and suppliers.
  • Ensure alignment between project-level plans and overarching programme milestones.
  • Establish and enforce planning standards, controls, and best practices.
  • Apply knowledge of rail project lifecycles (GRIP / PACE or equivalent frameworks).
  • Support planning across key phases including design, consents, construction, testing, and commissioning.
  • Ensure plans reflect rail-specific dependencies such as possessions, access constraints, and safety requirements.
  • Identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide detailed reports and presentations on project status.

What are we looking for:

  • Strong Competence within Primavera P6.
  • Strong Competence within Microsoft Project (Desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles, including budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Proven experience as a project planner with expertise in cost-based project planning and earned value management.
