The primary focus of the Remote Engineer (m/f/d) is to provide customers with post-sales technical support on our portfolio including NGS, Microarray and qPCR along with the associated application. You are responsible for providing technical support for these products remotely by phone, email, and other remote support tools. Your goal is to understand customers\’ problems, recommend solutions to meet their needs, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
- Providing high level of technical application support related to our Agilent\’s solutions
- Remote troubleshooting on NGS-, Microarray-, qPCR- and classic molar biology-solutions
- Analysis of NGS-, Microarray- and qPCR-data related to various applications
- Acting as a scientific consultant for our Genomics customers
- Providing consolidated feedback to R&D and marketing teams regarding product features.
- Document customer interactions using our internal ticketing systems and comply with company processes for complaint handling.
- Provide internal and external scientific trainings on Agilent\’s Genomics solutions
This position is preferably based in our Waldbronn office in Germany (hybrid model), but can also be based anywhere in Europe where Agilent has an entity.
Qualifications
- PhD Degree in Molecular Biology or equivalent
- Proven NGS wet-lab experience (DNA-seq, RNA-seq); library prep, target enrichment, and familiar with loading and running sequencers are necessary
- Experience with NGS data analysis, familiarity with informatics tools, and pipelines is strongly desired
- Knowledge of and experience with Microarrays and/or qPCR is a plus
- Practical experience working in a clinical lab is an advantage
- Fluency in German and English is required.
