The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
As an experienced Sales Manager, you’ll lead a team of sales employees spread across different countries in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Denmark and Sweden, to meet/exceed established financial targets, assign territories to representatives and play your part in negotiations with key customers. As well as managing budget and resources, and developing direct reports, you will also assist in planning strategy and training sales staff. You will report to the EMEA Consumables Senior Director.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Develop and drive strategic plans, ensuring the efficient execution with effective change management structure.
- Contribute towards the development of sales strategies and develop the district business plan in line with organisation strategy.
- Meet/exceed financial objectives and gain market share across the product lines in a cost-effective manner for area of responsibility and as part of the Consumables Europe Team overall.
- Effective discount management to drive profitable growth.
- Maintain a credible forecast with dependable accuracy.
- Create employee engagement through coaching and meaningful development plans that enable employee personal growth as well as adaption of skills to the market needs.
- Drive strong Organizational Capability through developing self, the team and by improving productivity that ensures a positive employee engagement in a compliant way.
- Maintain and optimize sales coverage in the district by constantly driving coverage optimization in partnership with the inside sales management to ensure balanced workload for each channel that enables the team to apply the right skills, response and solution for each opportunity. This includes hiring, development and performance management of the team.
- Evolve and execute a Business Development Strategy that enables sustained performance for the long term whilst adapting towards a strong emphasis of Virtual Working for our partners - customers.
- Partner with other business managers to drive a combined approach with customers demonstrating the value of OneAgilent.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a sales manager, ideally for a field-based team with a demonstrable strong track record of success with demonstrated career progression.
- Strong initiative, judgement and decision-making ability; demonstrated change management capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and innovative, growth mindset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English (Written and Oral) and other languages is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, remote team and able to handle difficult and demanding situations and multiple priorities.
- A working knowledge of relevant market segments, chromatography and scientific consumables products will be an added advantage.
