The Sales Account Manager is focusing on the Chromatography and Spectroscopy Markets. You will be part of Agilent Technologies' dynamic sales team. In this critical sales role, you will utilize your expertise and technical knowledge to manage Environmental, Food and Chemistry accounts in The United Kingdom. In this role, you will be expected to sell the entire Agilent Chemistries and Supplies (analytical consumables) product portfolio such as HPLC and GC columns, Sample Preparation Products and Lab Supplies, while you develop and implement successful sales strategies to overachieve on quota.
As an integral member of the Agilent Chemistries and Supplies Sales team, you will work to deliver customer-centric solutions, focus on developing new business and develop relationships to expand Agilent’s footprint with our extensive portfolio.
Responsibilities:- Developing customer relationships managing accounts assuring Agilent is recognized as a strategic partner and sales targets are met.
- Collaborating with customers to help understand needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks/queries with a focus to create newly value-added business opportunities.
- Sales quota responsibility within assigned accounts.
- Selling the entire Agilent Consumable product portfolio.
- Primary point of contact representing Agilent at assigned accounts or territory.
- Leading projects that require coordinating with a cross-functional team.
- Partnering with product development team and specialists, focusing on developing new applications and customer satisfaction, winning large(r) sales projects.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to align proper product messaging as part of program deliverables.
- Native speaking English.
- University degree (BS/MS) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline.
- Typically 1-2 years practical customer-facing sales experience, with a demonstrated track record of success.
- Strong understanding of the analytical laboratory requirements in the UK market.
- High level of working knowledge with Laboratory Techniques in particular Chromatography, Spectroscopy and Mass Spectrometry, particularly for Environmental and Food Safety markets.
- Strong business development and sales/closing skills.
- Experience in medium to large account management.
- Track record of success in selling existing and new technology products.
- Able to interface effortlessly at all levels within the account organization.
- Available for up to 50% business travel.
This job has a full-time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
