Overview
In this role, you will define and govern the future-state enterprise architecture for SAP S/4HANA within Agilent’s ERP modernization program. You will collaborate with business leaders and IT to ensure scalable, integrated solutions and a clean-core SAP environment. You will shape decision-making for Finance or Supply Chain and oversee boundary applications, custom code strategy, and implementation patterns. This is a strategic, cross-functional role with meaningful impact on modernization and long-term maintainability.

Responsibilities
- Define and maintain future-state enterprise architecture aligned to SAP S/4HANA and ERP roadmaps
- Lead architecture decision‑making for Finance (Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay) or Supply Chain (Plan, Make, Deliver, inventory, logistics)
- Establish and guide boundary application strategy, recommending replacement, retention, or integration
- Define and enforce clean core architecture guardrails using SAP‑recommended extensibility patterns
- Guide custom code strategy, including rationalization and redesign to reduce technical debt and support S/4HANA adoption
- Ensure integration alignment across SAP and non‑SAP systems using standardized patterns
- Use enterprise architecture tools (e.g., LeanIX) to map dependencies and rationalization opportunities
- Develop concise executive‑ready architecture materials outlining options and trade‑offs for governance forums
Key requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SAP architecture or solution architecture with hands‑on SAP S/4HANA experience
- Deep functional and architectural expertise in Finance or Supply Chain processes
- Proven experience defining enterprise architecture, integration strategies, and target‑state designs
- Ability to communicate architectural concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
