Overview
In this role you lead the Raman software effort within Agilent’s LSCE, guiding a team to deliver next-generation software for vibrational spectroscopy. You will ensure a cohesive GxP-aware SDLC aligned with strategic aims and collaborate with global partners to integrate hardware and software. You drive engineering investigations to resolution and mentor engineers to foster innovation and trusted outcomes. This position connects software roadmaps to cutting-edge Raman instruments, offering meaningful impact in scientific instrumentation. You’ll work in a cross-functional setting to shape solutions that scale across product lines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of next-generation Raman software products
- Oversee operations in the assigned R&D area and ensure adherence to a defined software product lifecycle
- Lead engineering investigations from issue discovery to resolution
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate hardware and software solutions
- Develop and mentor software team members to foster innovation and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Experience leading technical teams (project or people management)
- Design and development of commercial software on Microsoft or Linux platforms with modern architecture technologies (containerization, Kubernetes, microservices, messaging, web)
- Strong software engineering and development experience including devsecops, CI, and cloud deployment
- Experience with software for regulated environments (21 CFR Part 11) is advantageous
