Then this internship is for you! This 1-year placement is an opportunity for you to apply and build on your technical knowledge in a commercial role. Join Agilent Technologies UK instrument sales team to gain sales and marketing experience within a fast-paced and exciting environment. You will develop real world business development experience in a market-leading company.
Internship Description
During this Internship at our Harwell Center of Excellence facility, you will spend time working closely with and supporting the field sales and marketing teams in day-to-day matters related to Agilent's Cell Analysis and Molecular Biology Research products. Communicating with these teams and our customers will allow you to learn quickly and work effectively within a commercial setting.
Responsibilities
- Developing business with both new and existing clients (no cold calling)
- Analysing market data to support business generation
- Responding to inbound customer enquiries via email and webchat
- Supporting UK sales managers with order tracking and reporting
- Generating customer proposals, tender responses and quotations to support the sales team.
- Assisting with the organization of local and international events, e-seminars and other marketing campaigns.
- Working on the creation of marketing material and newsletters
- Building your personal network by liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
Internship Details
You will be a full-time employee and valued member of the team, working on strategic projects and contributing to day-to-day operations to be part of Agilent's success. During your internship, you will interact with peers and team members regularly within the UK and European Sales teams. Overall, we offer an attractive compensation package and professional conditions for you to transform and implement your ideas with the opportunities an international company provides. The placement is expected to start in June / early July 2026 and will last for 12 months. It is a full-time, onsite role at our Harwell facility.
You should be autonomous, organized and eager to learn. You also need strong analytical skills and excellent written and oral communication, allowing you to interact with different internal and external partners. Accuracy and attention to detail are fundamental to be successful in performing all functions of this role.

Qualifications
- Currently completing at least a second year of a Life Science degree. Suitable degrees include (but are not limited to) Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical sciences.
- Motivated and strong desire to develop your commercial knowledge whilst gaining experience in a technical role
- Digital literacy, good knowledge of Microsoft Office - especially Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Full fluency in English
