You will be responsible for supporting our clients with on-site installation of new equipment, preventative maintenance, repairs, and delivery of customer training on our chromatography solutions (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, HPLC). Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Contact customers in a timely manner and work closely with the scheduling teams to deliver service efficiently
  • Connect with manager, contact centre, sales teams, logistics, and scheduling to meet customer needs and expectations
  • Maintain Agilent’s customer service reputation by aligning with all corporate policies and procedures
  • Complete administrative tasks and service reports promptly and accurately
  • Provide feedback to the Product Specialists, manufacturing of performance anomalies encountered
  • Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during, and after service

For this role, you will be working remotely combined with travel to customer sites (4-5 days per week, with occasional nights away) primarily in the Midlands (Leicester – Birmingham – Derby, Nottingham, Coventry), but with occasional travel further in the UK (a company car is provided to you).

Qualifications: We are looking for an individual with the following background:

  • A recent university degree in a Chemistry related field (Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience is an advantage (internship/placement, university project or first position) preferably in a lab with chromatography solutions (LC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, HPLC)
  • Full proficiency in English
  • A valid driving license

On a personal level, you are proactive, outgoing, and customer-oriented. You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team, to solve various types of problems. You have great communications and interpersonal skills to interact with many internal and external partners.

This job has a full-time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
