Field/Home Based, Basingstoke or surrounding areas

Salary: £30-35K + benefits, Depending on Experience

Hours: The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with the added benefit of being able to work from home or attend the company Office (PO15 5TH) when not at customer sites. Full Driving Licence and own car is required. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.

The role of the Field IT Support Technician:

The role of Field based IT support engineer will involve working as part of a small team providing on-site and remote support to schools across the South. The ideal candidate for the IT Support Technician role will have at least 3 years’ experience in Windows Server & Desktop focussed IT support.

We are looking for an individual in good health with a full driving licence, who has expertise and experience in the following technical areas, with good people skills and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers. This role is subject to a clear Enhanced DBS check, and you must have a full UK driver’s licence.

The IT Support Technician will need experience and understanding of the following:

  • Windows Server 2025/2022/2019/2016
  • Windows 11/10 desktop systems
  • Group Policy
  • Deployment Services - WDS/MDT/WSUS
  • Networking (Switching/VLANs/Routing/Firewalls)
  • Network Security
