About The Role
Renishaw is seeking a skilled IT Business Analyst to join its dynamic team in Wotton-under-Edge.
This role is pivotal in supporting the company's ongoing digital transformation initiatives.
As an IT Business Analyst, you will serve as the critical link between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.
Your expertise will ensure that solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture, security standards, data governance, and integration protocols, supporting the delivery of reliable and scalable systems.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in applying business analysis techniques within a commercial or organizational setting.
- Experience in producing functional design documents (FDDs), solution specifications, and supporting test scenarios.
- Recognized business analysis certifications such as IIBA CCBA/CBAP or BCS Diploma in Business Analysis are advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Azure Dev Ops or Jira for requirement management.
- Understanding of enterprise-level integration patterns, data entities, and environment management (Dev/Test/Prod).
- Knowledge of security, access control, and data protection considerations in enterprise systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and Power BI is beneficial.
- Experience supporting enterprise systems within engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to facilitate workshops and liaise effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to support user adoption, change management, and training initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and define current and future state business processes, applying gap analysis to identify necessary actions for process improvement.
- Investigate and analyze business problems, opportunities, and strategic objectives to determine change requirements.
- Elicit, document, and manage both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring traceability from business needs to technical solutions.
- Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and functional consultants to define comprehensive end-to-end solution designs, including configurations, integrations, data flows, and reporting mechanisms.
- Support system lifecycle activities such as impact assessments, release planning, regression testing, and post-implementation reviews.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by providing ideas and feedback to optimize enterprise platform utilization.
- Translate business process models into system capabilities, configurations, and integration requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and walkthroughs for requirements, design, and solutions, engaging both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
