We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer / Lead Software Developer to join an innovative and dynamic business based in Plymouth. This is a permanent position designed for a hands‑on technical expert who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building enterprise‑level software solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive software system that integrates multiple applications across various departments. The role offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home two days per week, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong presence within the team. The working schedule is structured as a 4.5‑day week for full‑time hours, with a pay rate aligned to a five‑day workweek, and working hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:30 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Microsoft technologies: .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET, and Blazor.
• Database technologies: SQL Server, PL/SQL, T‑SQL, and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Experience with ETL processes and integration platforms.
• Front‑end development frameworks: JavaScript, jQuery, React, and Blazor.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and architectural patterns.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong communication skills.
• Proactive attitude, ambition to learn, and passion for staying current with technological trends.

Responsibilities

• Leading the end‑to‑end development lifecycle of enterprise software solutions.
• Designing system architecture, developing scalable applications, and ensuring seamless integration across various platforms.
• Taking technical ownership of projects, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members, and ensuring best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and delivering high‑quality solutions on time.
• Maintaining and enhancing existing systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements.
• Contributing to establishing and promoting architectural standards, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑based deployment strategies.
• Shaping the technical direction of the organization and ensuring the delivery of robust, efficient, and innovative software products.
