Full Stack Web Developer

Pyramid8 is seeking an experienced freelance Web HMI Developer to develop, integrate, secure, and maintain web-based Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs). This role is suited to a versatile developer who can work across the full application stack, from SQL databases and backend services to Angular interfaces, web server administration, and system security.

About The Role

As a freelance Web HMI Developer, you will build and support responsive interfaces for presenting operational and numerical data. You will work with an existing Angular environment, integrate frontend applications with backend services and SQL databases, and develop or maintain PHP applications hosted on Apache. You will also contribute to reliable database synchronisation between computers, manage web security measures and digital certificates, and troubleshoot applications across Windows and Linux environments.

This role calls for a practical, end-to-end approach. You should be comfortable investigating issues across application code, databases, servers, operating systems, and communications, while maintaining a strong focus on data integrity, availability, and security.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing web applications with Angular, including responsive, data-driven interfaces and integration with backend services.
• Strong SQL database development skills, covering relational structures, queries, indexing, administration, optimisation, access controls, and data integrity.
• Practical experience configuring and managing Apache HTTP Server and developing, deploying, or troubleshooting PHP applications.
• Experience implementing or configuring computer-to-computer database synchronisation, including conflict handling, recovery, and secure data exchange.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux, including system configuration, permissions, networking, command-line tools, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of IT security principles, SSL/TLS certificates, secure application deployment, and the protection of database credentials.
• Experience using charting or visualisation libraries and presenting complex operational datasets clearly.
• Strong familiarity with JSON and the validation, transformation, and secure handling of data exchanged between systems.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently across multiple technical layers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Angular-based HMI applications for effective operational data presentation.
• Integrate user interfaces with PHP services and SQL databases, ensuring accurate and dependable data retrieval.
• Design, develop, maintain, and optimise databases, queries, and structured datasets.
• Configure and administer Apache and PHP environments, including virtual hosts, permissions, dependencies, and deployment settings.
• Implement and support database synchronisation between separate computers, addressing consistency, duplicates, conflicts, communication failures, and recovery.
• Create charts, graphs, historical trends, and other visualisations that make numerical information accessible and useful.
• Manage SSL/TLS certificates and apply appropriate security controls to applications, servers, databases, and data transmission.
• Diagnose and resolve application, database, server, operating system, and connectivity issues across Windows and Linux.
• Validate and handle JSON and other structured data exchanged between frontend applications, backend services, and connected systems.
