About The Company

Founded in 2014, Oxa has established itself as a global leader in autonomous vehicle (AV) technology, dedicated to advancing Industrial Mobile Autonomy (IMA). The company develops cutting‑edge physical AI and robotics solutions, centered around its configurable and explainable self‑driving software, Oxa Driver. Complementing this are its development toolchain, Oxa Foundry, and fleet management software, Oxa Hub. Oxa leverages hardware blueprints known as Reference Autonomy Designs (RADs) to seamlessly integrate sensors, compute systems, and drive‑by‑wire technologies into existing vehicles produced by OEMs. With a focus on automating repetitive industrial driving tasks such as port logistics, airport operations, manufacturing, and asset monitoring, Oxa aims to address critical industry challenges including labor shortages and rising operational costs. Headquartered in Oxford with offices in Canada, Oxa's engineering team comprises top physical AI specialists, led by pioneers in the field, committed to driving efficiency, safety, and productivity for global businesses.

  • Experience in designing ergonomic APIs and building scalable, reliable back‑end services is required.
  • Excellent communication skills are vital, with the ability to translate complex technical considerations into clear guidance for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of mentoring engineers and elevating engineering standards within teams is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with prototyping and developing applications using agentic tools such as Claude Code or Gemini, as well as experience creating real‑time, data‑rich interfaces like dashboards or monitoring tools, will be advantageous.
  • Additionally, experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and working alongside robotics or hardware‑driven systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Python for building web services and APIs will also be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • As a Full Stack Web Engineer at Oxa, your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership and mentorship within the web engineering team to foster best practices and collaborative growth.
  • You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying full stack applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React, ensuring these systems are scalable and maintainable as our platform evolves.
  • You will own specific features from concept through to deployment, actively engaging in product discovery, design, and iterative development based on user and operational feedback.
  • Your role will involve identifying functionality gaps and contributing to the development of effective solutions.
  • You will work to influence team strategy, set technical standards, and promote the adoption of engineering best practices.
