Who We Are:

At Agile Retail, we operate stores, build brands and support some of the world's most recognisable retail businesses. We are looking for an Operations Executive to help drive operational performance across our growing portfolio of stores and retail projects.

This isn't a traditional desk-based operations role. You'll be at the centre of making things happen - supporting new store openings, solving operational challenges, coordinating multiple teams and ensuring our stores have everything they need to perform at their best.

The Operations Executive Role:

  • You’ll support the end-to-end operational delivery of stores and retail projects, helping take them from launch through to successful day-to-day operation.
  • Support new store openings and retail projects from planning through to post-opening.
  • Ensure stores are operationally ready across people, stock, logistics, systems, compliance and Health & Safety.
  • Monitor operational performance and maintain consistent standards across stores.
  • Identify operational issues, take ownership and drive them through to resolution.
  • Coordinate activity across People, Stock & Supply, Build, Creative and Field Operations.
  • Manage relationships with operational suppliers and partners.
  • Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
  • Provide clear communication between stores, central teams and account teams.
  • Anticipate operational risks and proactively support solutions.

What's in it for the Operations Executive?

  • Fast-growing business with genuine opportunities for progression.
  • Exposure to multiple retail brands, stores and operational projects.
  • Hands-on involvement in new store openings and retail activations.
  • Opportunity to work across multiple areas of the business.
  • Energetic, entrepreneurial environment where pace and accountability matter.

Company benefits:

  • Dress down office environment.
  • Office gym / communal bar / cafe / dog friendly office / outdoor terrace.
  • Quarterly company bonus.
  • Enhanced paid holiday.
  • Booze bar & snack area.
  • Regular work socials inc summer & xmas parties.
  • Wellbeing allowance.

The role would suit someone who is:

  • Experienced in retail operations, ideally across multiple stores, locations or retail projects.
  • Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A confident problem solver who takes ownership rather than simply escalating issues.
  • Comfortable working at pace within a fast-moving retail environment.
  • Experienced coordinating multiple teams and stakeholders to achieve operational outcomes.
  • A strong communicator who can build effective relationships with store teams, central functions, clients and suppliers.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of how strong operational execution supports store performance.
  • Comfortable working with operational standards, compliance frameworks and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Proactive, curious and constantly looking for opportunities to improve how things are done.
  • Someone who enjoys getting involved, taking accountability and following things through to completion.

Part coordinator. Part problem solver. Part making retail happen.

How to prepare for a job interview at Agile Retail

Show Off Your Customer Service Skills

Retail is all about providing an exceptional customer experience, so be ready to discuss your past customer service stories. We should have examples on hand of how we've handled difficult situations or gone above and beyond to meet a customer's needs. These anecdotes will bring your application to life!

Familiarity with Point of Sale Systems

Many retail roles require us to work with Point of Sale (POS) systems, so it's a good idea to brush up on any relevant software you’ve used before. If you’re familiar with systems like Shopify or Square, don’t forget to mention this during the interview. Highlighting technical proficiency can set us apart from other candidates!

Understand Product Knowledge

Be prepared to discuss the products that the store sells and how we can contribute to their sales. Showing enthusiasm for the products and a willingness to learn can impress interviewers. We should research popular items or trends in the industry before the interview, so we can speak confidently about them.

Be Ready for Role-Playing Scenarios

Many retail interviews include role-playing scenarios where we might have to deal with a difficult customer or upsell a product. Practising these scenarios with a friend or family member can help us feel more comfortable. The key here is to showcase our problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure!
