About us
Agile IFA is a firm with Chartered Financial Planners based at Airedale House on Kirkstall Road, Leeds. We help individuals, families and business owners bring all the pieces of their financial life together β retirement, wealth, protection and estate planning β so they can make confident decisions about their future.
We're proud to be a fully independent firm that invests in the technology that lets us do our job as efficiently and straightforwardly as possible β from cashflow modelling tools to AI-supported meeting and report writing systems. This frees us up to focus on the work that actually matters to clients.
We're a small, close-knit team βand as we continue to grow, we're looking for a paraplanner who shares our attention to detail and our belief that great financial planning is about people first, numbers second.
The role
As our Paraplanner, you'll be the technical engine room behind the advice Chris and Cindy give. You'll turn client conversations into rigorous research, clear analysis and well-written recommendations β making sure everything we put in front of a client is accurate, compliant, and genuinely tailored to their life, not just their numbers.
What you'll be doing
- Researching and analysing client circumstances across pensions, investments, protection and tax planning
- Preparing suitability reports β using our AI-supported systems alongside your own judgement β and other client-facing documentation, in line with regulatory requirements
- Comparing products and providers to identify the most suitable solutions for each client
- Supporting Chris and Cindy in developing financial planning recommendations and strategies
- Building and interpreting cashflow models to help clients see their financial future clearly
- Liaising with product providers, platforms and other third parties to gather what's needed
- Keeping client records accurate and ensuring everything we do meets FCA requirements
- Staying on top of changes in legislation, tax rules and the wider financial planning landscape
- Helping with pre- and post-sale administration, including completing transactions where appropriate
- Helping us keep improving our paraplanning processes and templates β if you spot a better way of doing something, we want to hear about it
What you'll bring
- Previous experience in a paraplanning role within financial services
- Strong technical knowledge of pensions, investments, protection and/or tax planning
- Excellent report writing skills, with a real eye for detail
- Strong analytical and numerical ability
- Confidence using financial planning and cashflow modelling software (e.g. Voyant, CashCalc, Intelliflo)
- Good working knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
- The organisational skills to manage several cases at once without dropping the ball
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication
Nice to have
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4), or working towards it
What you'll get from us
- Support and funding towards your professional qualifications and ongoing CPD
- A modern, collaborative team where your ideas are genuinely welcomed
- 25 days holiday
- Non contractually and subject to a review of business requirements each year, the firm gives paid holiday in between Christmas and New Year that does not need to be taken from the main entitlement.
