Agile Guarding Services Limited is a Bolton based company. We provide manned guarding services to various business sectors primarily in the North West region.
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in Security (Manned Guarding).
Location: North of England – field-based with office access (Bolton)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £35,000–£45,000 basic + uncapped commission (OTE £70k–£90k)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of our manned guarding division across the North of England. This role is suited to a driven, commercially minded sales professional who is comfortable building a pipeline from scratch, developing long-term client relationships, and securing sustainable, profitable contracts. You will take full ownership of new business generation while also identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new manned guarding contracts across the North of England
- Proactively generate leads through cold calling, networking, and relationship building
- Manage the full tender and bid process from initial enquiry through to submission and presentation
- Build strong, long-term client relationships with key decision-makers
- Grow and develop existing accounts to maximise contract value and retention
- Own and manage your sales pipeline, ensuring consistent activity and accurate forecasting
- Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and high service standards
- Exposure to CCTV towers, fire, or integrated security services is advantageous
- Tendering experience would be a big plus!
About You
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in new business development within the security or manned guarding sector
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end tender and procurement process
- A self-motivated, proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously
- Confidence in cold calling and opening new business conversations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills and pipeline management discipline
